Why I house sit
I’m a big fan of the sharing economy and the opportunity to exchange skills, resources and value.
When I learned about housesitting I realised how suited I was for it. With my passion for animals and experience in looking after them, my property experience and freedom from not being tied to a location made me an ideal person to look after homes and pets.
Being able to utilise my skills and abilities to look after pets and homes, enjoying the company of animals whilst giving you peace of mind while you are away is the perfect win win situation.

Growing up with pets, working with horses and running a home dog boarding service has provided me with a wealth of animal experience. Home dog boarding meant caring for a wide variety of breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments of dogs. I have completed a Pet First Aid course so that I am prepared to deal with injuries and illness.
Renovating, renting out property and running a household means I’ve experienced all aspects of looking after house and home. Fun fact: at the age of 45 I studied electrical engineering so I could rewire my own house. One of my proudest moments was seeing my name on the installation certificate!
Accommodating guests in both my own home and rental properties through Airbnb has given me an understanding for what is required when sharing and entrusting a home to someone else. In doing so I’ve achieved Airbnb Superhost status for several years.
Being fit and active with a big love for the outdoors as well as adoring the company of animals makes me and housesitting the perfect match.
