It was an absolute pleasure to have Louise look after Alfi. She stepped in last minute and did an amazing job making us feel really relaxed and comfortable to leave her in our home and with our lovable dog.

The daily videos were pure confirmation seeing how happy Alfi was with her.

Luise was a superstar. We needed a sitter on this occasion because one of our children was undergoing major surgery in the UK, and we needed to be with her in the hospital in London for a week. This meant that even more than usual we needed a sitter who we could completely trust and rely on.

After speaking to Luise I knew she was that person and that she would handle anything pet or house related that came up in our absence. Having Luis in our home gave us total reassurance.

Luise is a great communicator, easy to get along with, and kept in touch to update us on how everything was going back in Portugal. Luise bonded with our dogs and worked out their characters and quirks very quickly. Luise hadn’t looked after rats before but had no problem taking on rat mama duties, including daily free-roaming, and sending us updates.

Luise is friendly but self-sufficient and is able to just get on with things. Our builders didn’t quite finish some work as planned before we left and Luise had no problem giving them access to the house to finish off, for which we were also very grateful.

Our house was left really clean and tidy, and everything had been well looked after.

Lastly, I don’t know what magic she worked on the plants, but our orchids are the best I have ever seen them!

We couldn’t have been happier with Luise looking after our dog, plants and house. She’s a very friendly and easy going person. Very reliable and trustworthy. She took great responsibility in looking after our dog and we got back to a completely spotless house. Thanks Louise!

Luise was perfect. She took great care of our pet and she took great care of the house as well, all the while having to navigate some unexpected difficulties, such as a backed up bathroom sink. She was detailed, organized, asked lot of questions, and she appeared to be prepared for almost any eventuality. She also stayed in touch with us throughout our trip, by sending us regular updates. While we were away, it gave us great peace of mind knowing that we had trusted our pet and home to someone as capable as she.

Luise took great care of Pippin – he was very happy with her and not fazed at all. Even though, as an old boy, there is not much variety to his day, Luise nevertheless sent photos and little videos which were much appreciated. I wouldn’t hesitate to ask Luise to sit again!

I am very happy to recommend Luise as a pet sitter for my cat Ella.

She was lovely to talk to, very organized and self-sufficient, and able to allow my cat to warm up to her (which she did easily).She left my apartment very tidy and clean.

Luise was a great sit for our active labrador Hektor.

She kept us regularly informed, sending pictures and video’s and it was clear Hektor loved her. And she left the house impeccably clean.

We were so happy with Luise. Whilst in Portugal it has been difficult to find sitters to come unless they are in the country already. The reason why I chose Luise was because she didn’t talk about her going to explore the area all the time but talked about wanting to look after the animals. Of course I am sure Luise went to explore but she has a rule that she doesn’t leave any animal more than 4 hours alone. I have 3 cats and a dog and this was extremely important to me. She sent so many updates with videos and photos all the time which made me happy. Of course if you want your space away from the home then she is happy to just leave you be. However, I wanted as much as she could send! When we came home the house was very clean and she had cleaned all her bed sheets and had left them out to dry which was great! I would recommend her to anyone who needs a loving sitter. Our animals were extremely happy when we came back!

Luise was a perfect house and pet sitter for me. She looked after everything very well and was in contact when needed. And the house was left very clean and tidy on my return. I have no hesitation in recommending her and in fact Luise is already booked for another sit at my place very soon!

It was such a joy to welcome Luise back… only a short visit and we were not attempting foreign travel, but it just MAKES all the difference knowing Luise is at home and all our furbabies love her especially Coco. Luise is a truly wonderful person and Coco knew it straight away! I have to admit that I find leaving home, especially for 6 weeks, really hard… but this time I truly felt that all was going to be completely fine.

Luise is so competent in all areas and kindness is her stock in trade…. it was like leaving a new friend.

She kept in touch with photos and news, which I really enjoyed and was impressed as to the walks she found through a local walking group which I’m going to try as well…

When we got back, it was as if we had never been away, everything felt normal and cared for… Coco and the other fur babies were pleased to see us, but not over the top! They had been so well loved it was more like.. “hi, you’re back then” not a hint of missing us AT ALL..!!!!

This was our first ever house sitter, so on starting out, I was a little nervous, completely unnecessarily as it turned out. As soon as I spoke with Luise, I had a very good and reassuring feeling about her. She was kind, friendly, organised and professional. Our trip couldn’t have gone any better. Luise sent out useful forms before she came. She arrived on time and looked after our little dog, small pets and house wonderfully. She even sent us a few updates on the animals with photos and videos. The house was spotlessly clean on our return, and the dog was chilled out! Luise even washed her sheets and towels, which we didn’t expect. Highly recommend her and would love her to sit for us again.

Luise was or first experience of Trusted House Sitters, and we approached the experience with a degree of apprehension. We liked her immediately we ‘met’ her on FaceTime, and having picked her we were delighted with the whole experience thereafter. She looked after our two labradors for two weeks, and I suspect they had a better time with her than with us. She is mature, responsible, conscientious and thoughtful. We received almost daily reports and photographs, and it was reassuring to see that she did not overwalk them in the hot weather – but took them swimming instead! The house was spotless when we returned – even the patio had been swept. I would unequivocally recommend her: not only is she all the things above, but a very nice person too. You won’t find anyone better!

This was the first time we had met Luise, she is a lovely bubbly lady very organised and efficient. Everything went very smoothly. Luise arrived on time and on our return the house and garden were in good order and more importantly our beloved cat was happy. Even though we were only away for a short time Luise sent us a photo and updates on our pet which was lovely.

Luise looked after our home and animals with professional competence. The horses, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and geese were all very well cared for. Like most housesitters, we had never personally met.

Prior to meeting, we spoke online with Luise, as she was travelling from the UK to Australia. We conducted a virtual tour of our property and home, and of course our beloved kitty furbabies. Luise asked pertanent questions i.e. watering of plants, vet number for our cats etc.

Upon meeting Luise in person, we were easily comforted by her demeaner, and again questions to ensure that she had all the information she needed, relevant contact details etc, etc.

While away for 2.5 weeks, we were not worried at all. When we returned from our oversea’s trip, our home was in fabulous order, all plants (and there were many) were looking great, our cats were happy and calm, and our home still had the peaceful, welcoming feel that it has always had.

Henk and I absolutely recommend Luise, and we welcome her back to our home anytime. It is a shame that Luise doesn’t live closer, as Luise would definitely be our first choice!

You will not be disappointed.

We have known Luise for perhaps 10 years now. Before moving away Luise looked after my best friend, my loyal dog Fern for perhaps 8 years. Fern did not want her to move away, however, Luise came back to SE London one day and asked to walk Fern. I had zero concerns. Fern went wild with happiness when she saw her again. That!!!!
